A succession of steps of light that chase each other along the shank: each level holds a different stone, with diamonds illuminating the surface with a clear glow, rubies bringing a deep and warm red, and emeralds responding with an intense green, changing with every movement of the hand. The settings are made one by one and the smoothed edges are palpable to the touch, a sign of craftsmanship entirely done at the goldsmith's bench.
